Placing single implants in the esthetic zone can be one of the most challenging treatment modalities. The purpose of this study was to compare peri-implant marginal bone loss, soft tissue response and esthetics over a 3 year period.

Study Results

Mean Bone Level

Previous clinical studies have shown that implants with a laser micro-textured collar surface provide opportunities for limited bone remodeling 6, 18. Results from this study confirm that data, showing as little as -0.35mm crestal bone resorption.

Survival Rate

Survival rate for both treatment groups was 100% after 3 years.

100%

Study Conclusion

Laser microtextured collar surface provide opportunities for limited bone remodeling
